Funeral services were held Jan. 10 at the Houston Funeral for Buren Wilson Nolan, who died on Jan. 9 at age 77 at his Route 2 Woodland Home. Services were conducted by Charles Flake and interment was in Amity Cemetery.
Mr. Nolan was the son of Washington Nolan and Hallie Walls. He was a retired farmer and was affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church in Thorn.
He was the widower of Mary Jane Nolan. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eva Mae Montgomery of Woodland; three brothers, Clyde of Ft. Worth, Tex.; Clarence of Prentiss and Durrell of Batesville; four sisters, Mrs. Dovie Henry of Norman, OK., Mrs. Zula Stone of Hot Springs, Ark., Mrs. Etta Walters of Prentiss and Mrs. Zora Miller of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Nabors, John Carlisle, Billy Watkins, Junior Myers, Mel Frederick and John Brand.
